Located in Ocala, Florida, MARS Company has been involved in the water industry for over twenty-seven (27) years, providing solutions specific to the industry.  Although known for the world-class Water Meter Test Bench Systems, MARS has delivered AMR solutions for the past several years, holding several patents that provide for a powerful drive-by solution (that rival most fixed-based systems), along with fixed-based systems and an AMI solution with our Business Partners that provides superior options and capabilities.

MARS Company’s CEO and Founder, Floyd Salser, has been a long term, active member of the American Water Works Association (AWWA), served on many committees, including the AWWA Standards Committee on Water Meters, and is the Standing Chairman of the AWWA Subcommittee on Revision of Manual M6 (Water Meters – Selection, Installation, Testing and Maintenance).  In 2007, Mr. Salser was presented the AWWA’s George Anderson Award.  This award was established to recognize outstanding, long-term contributions by user members, consultants, and manufacturers to the field of water metering.

In addition, Mr. Salser holds several patents related to the MARS AMR product line, with several patents pending in the AMR product line, the Water Meter Test Bench Systems and within the MARS Specialty Product Division (most recently, the Residential Fire Service Fitting).  MARS Company is the only AMR manufacturer that will provide a true hybrid network.

Our Location

MARS is conveniently located just 1 mile from I-75 (exit 352), in Ocala, the heart of Marion County in North Central Florida.  MARS occupies an eight acre site with a 35,000 square foot "state of the art" manufacturing facility complete with Engineer, CAD Design, Fabrication, Machine Shop, and Manufacturing.

Our large meter testing facility is the only "NIST" (National Institute for Standards and Technology) traceable test facility in the Eastern United States. This facility is valued at more than $500,000 and its location allows local Utilities to avoid purchasing a facility of this type for its own use.
