Specification Sheet
Description: Consists of
a 3" turbine meter and a 5/8" X 3/4" positive displacement
meter, resetable LCD totalizer on both meters, 3" ball valve,
3/4" valve and a pressure gauge. The 3" aluminum meter
tube is equipped with a stainless steel flow restriction plate and
cast aluminum handles. The test unit is equipped with a brass National
Standard Fire Hose swivel coupling on the inlet and a National Standard
Fire Hose nipple on the outlet.
Installation: Directly adaptable to 2 1/2"
X 3" National Standard Fire Hose coupling threads. The meter
must be at a full flow of liquid and three feet of straight inlet
hose for proper accuracy. Meter must be rigidly secured prior to
starting test.
Rotor: Injection molded thermoplastic and is permanently
attached to the rotor shaft. The rotor rotates on two stationary
bearings and utilizes 15 blades that are molded at a precision helix
angle to provide extreme accuracy at low flow rates and accurately
register across the operating range of the meter. The rotor, which
is the only moving part in the meter, electronically drives the
sensor output which is proportional to the flow through the meter.
Bearings: Stationary mounted precision ground carbon
bearings located at each end of the rotating tungsten carbide rotor
shaft inside the measuring chamber. The bearings are located to
provide uniform loading of the rotor, thus extending life and providing
extreme accuracy during the life of the meter. Dual ceramic thrust
bearings insure long life registration in both forward and reverse
flow directions.
